Polarized Views With a Side of Confusion [Part 1]

I'm a self-professed hedonist; for you who doesn't know what that means, it translates to, one who thrives on what gives him or her pleasure (minds out the gutter because this is more than just sexual.).  To put it plainly, whatever makes a person happy, they do it until they can't do it anymore. Pleasure is the only intrinsic good for those who believe in such. [pleasure minus pain].  Quite personally, I see no benefit in disputes and arguments  especially if they lead to psychological damage, or even violence.  For me, they lead to instability, like going for long periods without a regimented activity.

Though others believe that conflicts, regardless of intensity, are a healthy form of human evolution; the end result thereof is a more refined take on modern culture than previous.  The experience, however is not as philosophically sound as I or anyone make it.  A good comparison would be, a lite dispute between friends, like when one promises to return a call, but fails to do so.  One would think the person effected by it would be in the right, but it's not that simple; in fact, he could be in the wrong for not giving said individual time to get things done or have some bit of patience.  Both parties are wrong.

I bring this topic up because, a group of college girls... I mean high school girls decided to fight in the middle of the student lounge in the Art Institute of Atlanta's main campus on the day of this writing.  One of which was pregnant and was able to make sport of three other girls.  I felt sorry for neither parties, mostly due to the fact that this was all for something I felt could have been handled peacefully.  Instead, it was just another female equivalent to a dick dangling contest.  Neither parties were in the right, which is proof enough why I don't get a stiff on when watching Bad Girls Club.  This resulted in intervention from the campus security and even the Subway vendor staff.  Alot of people were entertained, I wasn't...

Things like that, including wars have one thing in common: the inherent cause.  Every squabble, bloodbath, conflict has begun through confusion.  It is simply another way of saying a misunderstanding, chaos, and misinterpretation.  Sadly, it is inevitable, and to make it worse, we as the 21st century failed to refine our methods in dealing with it. Religion, secular motivation, mediums of all kinds, with mixed cures and resolutions; treaties and mediation quelling the already dangerous side effects of war.

                to be continued.

Showa vs. King Modern Celebrarion

[Subject to rant. Read at your own risk.  And don't say I didn't warn you either.]

It's a rainy day in Lithonia, Georgia.  As I sit here writing this, I think about the sacrifices made by the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and countless others like him past and present.

[If people in church every January 15 only knew...]

The of me writing this is the birthday of a man who actually stood for something and had a legitimate excuse for why.  He and many others before and immediately after him were born in a time where if you weren't white, rich, and/or "Christian", then you should be wiped out the planet.  The difference between then and now is that people are more discreet and "tactful" about it.  It's not just white people this time (so all you affirmative action-screaming mother fuckers need to shut up), it's blacks, asians, jews, and even homosexuals just to name a few.

You might not want to believe this, but today it seems that the very people men and women like him fight for, end up becoming a bunch of butthurt, vengeful slagfucks.  Black people still talking that pseudo-Muslim nonsense about how the [white] man is a devil, how pork still sucks, nerds acting the very people who hurt them, gays bashing straight people who actually supported them, women looking down on men, Jews acting like pricks to supporters, gentlemen not acting like gentlemen for sex, atheists bashing Christians; lumping the wrong ones with Westboro just becasue they were wronged at a church they used to go to, just vengeful mother fuckers.  And these people have the ball bearings to acutally cry to Dr King's grave today?

GET ALLLLLL THE WAY THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!

I might not be exempt from this too, but I do wonder is Mr. Martin is rolling over in his grave right now...
As a matter of fact, one person on my Facebook saw one black lady say "Who gives a fuck about MLK's birthday". Me and her (my FB friend) shared the exact same rage and disgust for today's society of yes, black people, or in this case, Niggers (Yeah, I used the "-er" at the end too).  The same mongrels I see on MARTA [my city's transit authority], in West End, and across the street driving to faggot ass 2010's gangster music.  And it grows more difficult to tell who in my generation stands for something, from those who worship the almighty dollar over integrity.

But overall, King learned the value of humility, temperance and love, so it would be a remiss if I ended this on an angry rant.  I remember as a kid, I read the 1963 speech that changed American history.

[That speech was long, but worth a read]

With that, he was a man that stood for true justice and fairness; traits the we today don't seem to stand for, and to say that we do would be lying.  But at the end of the day, I believe he wanted us to exemplify a form of equality that transcends race, class, sexual preference, and ethnicity. More likely strive to be an image of it EVERYDAY!!

[Suck it, Lelouch's daddy]

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929[Shouwa 4] but was shot and killed on April 4, 1968[Shouwa 43].  He's a pastor, philanthropist, and acclaimed civil rights leader.

Showa vs Goku vs Superman: The F**K!? I Don't Wanna Die...

After being delayed a couple of days after it's proposed release date (December 21, 2012), Screw Attack's video of the legendary battle between Goku (Dragon Ball) and Superman has finally hit the internet.

[Warning: This post is subject to opinion by the blogger. the opinions express does not reflect the sources involved]

[After what I saw, this is bullshit]

Wizard and Boomstick, the hosts for the Screw Attack segment, Death Battle, went through great lengths in making sure that they got they're facts straight; pulling sources from the likes of Kanzenshuu, Superman Home Page and The Dao of Dragonball, just to name a few.  With that, many misconceptions were weeded out of this age old debate...

Some of the factors they pointed out were really spot on.  Due to the scope of this debate, however, I can only name a few of them.  To start off, mental prowess and stability: Goku is strong willed and resistant to outside vices and desires, in fact he's very pure and sincere.  He has no hidden agendas to speak of.  The lifetime spent in martial arts has made him something of a disciplined force in combat, but since he's a Saiyan and Saiyans thrive on violence and stress, his inhibitions can break off easily, especially when he transforms.  For Saiyans, the stronger they become (in the case of Ozaru and Super forms), the more they are prone to instinct and lack of discipline towards violence.  This coupled with his need to break limits under the most stressful of circumstances makes for a dangerous force.  Furthermore, the closest Goku has ever had to formal education was his time with Muten Roshi the turtle hermit, yet by his prime, Goku doesn't want or need it because for him, it would prove counterproductive, especially since he's a genius in the battlefield.  Superman on the other hand is a walking safe of mental discipline.  As a kid, he placed mental walls on himself in order to take control of his powers and other actions.  But overtime, he has proven to let them loose with no effort.  In short, he has great self control over himself (and he was trained to resist mental attacks).

Goku fights to improve himself as a person; even though he likes protect his friends and the planet he lives in, he focuses on breaking past his physical barriers.  He looks for solutions to overcome stressful conditions.  Superman focuses more on protecting others. Sure he isn't resistant to kryptonite, and magic, yes he needs sunlight, but if you take those away, he's almost invincible. But his main focus is using it to protect others; it's as if his life is almost inconsequential.

Of course there is the issue of their stories.  Superman, like most western comics of his make, has undergone years of different writers, and in an attempt to make things fair, Death Battle focused mostly on the comics from the Bronze Age.  But even with that, varying talent can make and break western comic more than anything.  Thus creating canon issues.  Comics like Dragonball however, are fixed and structured; having no rewrites or reboots whatsoever. The issue for Death Battle, came from mistranslations from the anime's English dub (excluding Dragonball Z Kai). Then there's Dragon Ball GT, which Toriyama-sensei had nothing to do with (which begs why they brought up SSJ4 Goku?).

Overall, despite the fact we can't truly define them by calculations and such, the facts are straight, and we really can't say that Wiz and Boomstick didn't give this fight a fair shake; considering how many sources they pulled to make it fair and more accurate than previous episodes.

Screw Attack's Death Battle Segment pits your favorite characters of geekdom to an all out fight to the death.  The combatants are stripped of their inability to kill if they have such and use their skills, weapons, and armor to gauge who is the best warrior.  Ben Singer[Wizard] and Chad James[Boomstick] research their strengths, weaknesses and abilities before and after the fight.

This is Showa 60 saying, Ja Ane [japanese = see ya]

Welcome to 2013: Hope for Whatever

Well, It's a new year; the 25th year of the Heisei era in Japan or 2013.  There hasn't been much change, so I wouldn't expect much.  But I'm not above making things happen.  Some people have had bad breaks last year, in some form or fashion, there were breakdowns, shattered hopes and dreams, loved ones lost, hell, even the lives of innocent children were fucked (for real though).

For me, it was one complex form of disappointment after another; as one ended, another would soon follow.  Some were on a scale bigger than my own personal life, and that is enough for a lesser person to resort to drastic measures.  In spite of that, most of us somehow keep moving and keep pushing for what we long, desire, and lust for in our lives, or call upon God or deity equivalent to comfort us.

2012 was in every shape a fucked year; for starters, the craving for intimacy.  We all suck at it, single, married, just plain taken, who cares...  No one in reality is a candidate for love and romance. Not even me.  Frankly, I suck at it, whatever advice you give will fail, and here's why:  Humans are unpredictable creatures, there is no set way to approach a person unless in a professional setting.  We have a better chance in getting money than learning to love someone romantically.  Women, if a man prides himself as a gentleman through his mouth, he's lying to you.  The clothes, the car, the attitude; probably some bullshit he learned from Dr. Phil, Tyler Perry Films, Romance Stories, reality shows, and or rap songs.  There is no perfect man on this planet, and no matter what we want from you, we are just thirsty ass dry dick assholes.  If it's just me, then my apologies.  To be fair though, some of us don't want samples, just a lifetime supply of what you are.

 Women get a pass... period

Next up is these suicidal prophets. There is nothing I hate more than conspiracy theories.  If you think the world is going to end because someone gave out the specific time, then get a gun license, buy a gun and some ammo and kill yourself.  Alot of people pinned their hopes on this world ending on last year; zombie apocalypse, the coming of Christ, meteorites... I thought my life sucked...  Right now, 2013 has come, and the people who thought we were going to die earlier have fled without a trace.  Don't you feel stupid packing all that gear for something you can't prepare for. On the subject of Jesus' return; according to the bible, He will only take the pure hearted loyal followers (in other words, the Christians we blatanly made fun of for centuries now) to heaven where they'll sip on the best blessed juice they ever tasted and play golf with god, while we go ape shit crazy on this planet.  I can't wait to see what they'll do next...

Lastly, Chik-Fil-A.  Damn, damn, damn.... that lemonade was awesome....

And as and added Bonus, Anime Weekend Atlanta was the Best Damned experience i ever had that year, I hope it happens again!

That's all on my rant for today, but consider new years as more than resolutions and sugar bowl parades, but a chance to walk outside and experience the start of the rest of your existence. For every hell, there is a heaven. This might be a sign that maybe it's not such a suck world.

See ya on my other blogs...  Ja a ne
